The Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) has introduced a simplified Auto-Renewal system for CCA (Consent / Consolidated Consent Authorization) to reduce compliance burden and improve Ease of Doing Business for industries in Gujarat.

This system allows eligible industries to renew their CCA online without going through lengthy audit and documentation procedures.

What Is CCA Auto-Renewal?

CCA Auto-Renewal is a system-based renewal process where eligible industries can get their CCA renewed automatically, provided they submit the required self-certifications or auditor certificates as per their category.

This system was introduced earlier and has now been further clarified and simplified by GPCB.

Who Can Apply for CCA Auto-Renewal?

Industries that:

• Already have a valid CCA granted by GPCB

• Apply for renewal before the expiry date

• Fulfil category-wise requirements

are eligible for auto-renewal.

Category-Wise Requirements for CCA Auto-Renewal

1. Green Category Units

• Only Self-Certified Compliance Statement is required

• No auditor certificate needed

2. Orange Category Units

• Certificate from Schedule-II Auditor is required

3. Red Category Units

• Certificate from Schedule-I Auditor is required

Special Cases (Common Effluent & Hazardous Waste Units)

In cases involving:

• Common facilities, or

• Units covered under Hazardous Waste Management Rules, 2016

CCA renewal will still be required, with:

• Red Category: Schedule-I Auditor certificate

• Orange & Green Category: Schedule-II Auditor certificate
  along with compliance statements.
